And lately, I’ve been avoiding that side of my story because I never wanted to be that girl who cried “poor me” I never wanted to seem like I was using my dad as a way to get attention and I didn’t want that heartache to “define me.” . But, you see, it does define me. . It defines me in every sense of the phrase, it’s what inspires me each and every day, and it’s how I got into this business of “doing things” that are much bigger than myself. .
